Reminds me of a quote I read somewhere. "If you are depressed, you live in the past. If you are anxious, you live in the future. When you live in the present you are content and at peace with yourself."

In the face/skull as well as the tiny details you've added in, I think you're getting better. Good for you! When I look at this she seems a little bit surprised. I think she was caught off guard by this. Maybe she's heard of people suffering from depression, hearing voices in their heads telling them bad things about themselves, but she never thought it would happen to her. Now it exists and she's coming to realize that it's going to take time and strength to get rid of it.
Perhaps for her, facing the past, accepting that nothing can change it, but trying to fix what she can and move on to the future is the best thing to do. When she can accept it and learn from it as life experience, I think the voice will give her the keys and fade away.
Ehhh, what does the little symbol on the side of the skull mean? It looks a bit like a bar code, but I feel like I'm missing a reference here.
